An excellent special stainless steel developed by Hitachi Metals,
which has stronger heat resistance and corrosion resistance than
154CM, and has established a global brand as a strong knife.
Although it has high finish, wear resistance and toughness, it is not
suitable for mass production due to its low workability, and the material
itself is expensive, so it has become the mainstream in custom knife makers
as a synonym for high-end knife materials.
